At Zera Coffee, our name carries deep purpose. In Hebrew, Zera means “Seed”, and that's exactly what we're committed to—sowing seeds of transformation. Through every cup of coffee, every shared story, and every welcoming space, we plant seeds of hope, freedom, and new life—all through the power of Jesus Christ.

Zera Coffee is a not-for-profit coffee shop operating under Denton Freedom House, a registered 501(c)(3) ministry committed to seeing lives restored through the power of Jesus Christ. Every purchase at Zera directly supports the mission of Denton Freedom House—bringing hope, healing, and freedom to men and women overcoming addiction and finding new life in Christ. Our shop is primarily staffed by volunteers, including current residents of the DFH discipleship program, alongside community members who share a passion for serving others. Zera also functions as a Work Training Program, providing hands-on experience in a supportive, sober environment. Here, individuals gain essential skills in customer service, food safety, and hospitality while being equipped to thrive both personally and professionally.
